Surface Calm

Just a quick entry to let you know that I'm fine. I was quite upset last night but I think being there when my Gran died actually helped a lot. She went so peacefully and looked so restful that it seemed a perfect way to go.

There's so much that I could write about the last ten months but it's really too hard to find a place to start; so I'm not going to. Instead I'm going to think about the future and, at the moment, that involves planning the funeral. Who'd have thought that it would be such a complex thing.

Anyway, that'll be handled tomorrow. Tonight I'm heading to bed for a very well deserved rest.

One last thing before I retire; I took some photos of the view from my Gran's room. They're quite stunning and do justice to her final day:
