Moral Maze

You're probably aware of the fact that spiders have eight legs. I, too, am aware of this fact.

Whilst I was locking up the house for the night, I encountered a spider with only four legs. All of the legs on one side of its body were missing, as was one of its pedipalps.

Life is a sacred thing. Taking a life, any life, is wrong. That notion is locked in my very core. However, would it be an acceptable act to leave the spider to find its own death?
