My last, best and reasonably-priced hopes for getting hold of the Nintendo Wii before Christmas were dashed this morning when the lovely lady at Argos informed me that new stock before the 25th was impossible. Insert semi-sad face.
With all of the hype surrounding the faulty wrist strap the Wii has been appearing in the news ever more frequently. Each and every time it appears I get the strangest tingle deep inside. That tingle slowly built to a thrum and now it's a full on: I want a Wii!
Honestly, if I'd acted sooner then it might have been a reality come Christmas morning. However, all hope now lies in the murky world of eBay and the many horrors of the bidding war. Closely scutinising Wii sales over the past hour I've witnessed consoles reaching prices of five hundred and twenty pounds; which is over three times the retail price.
Alas, all hopes of Wii-ing all over the Twilight Princess are gone.
