West Midlands Safari Park

It was my mother's birthday today. Despite her many protests over going on a 'mystery outing' I eventually persuaded her to get in the car. Around ninety minutes later we arrived at the West Midlands Safari Park.

Owing mainly to the early start, and the series of heavy down-pours, we had the park to ourselves for the first couple of hours. We even managed to secure ourselves a VIP safari tour. With the whole bus to ourselves we had plenty of scope for photos:

It was an awesome day out. My Mum's been following the progress of the white lion cubs since their birth, so coming face to face with them was a fantastic experience.

As for me, being less than a foot away from such huge teeth magnificent creatures is something I won't be forgetting any time soon.

Happy birthday, mum! Xx
