Occultation of the Orbs

The past few weeks have been a somewhat anxious pause. From the horrible moment when I realised that I had a lump, to the initial examination by my doctor, which revealed more than one. The hours spent on the phone trying to navigate the horrible NHS scan booking system, to the two week wait for an ultrasound. Even the final thirty minute wait before my scan this morning seemed like an eternity.

However. All of that melts away, when you hear the words: "You don't have cancer."

I have a follow-up appointment in a few weeks time to discuss whether or not I'll need surgery.

Either way, I'm bloody glad that the big probe thing wasn't needed.
